“Life is Not a Plan”
5-week Self-Inquiry Series
“We go together, this Love, you and I. No matter what.” ~ Linda
To surrender is to close the door on the future.
The ability we all possess to imagine a future and then create a plan is valuable and necessary in the structures of organizing the daily activities of relationships, home, and work. Planning can be strategic (setting goals), operational (organizing who is going to do what), tactical (methods for how to resolve conflict), and contingent (what if?, then what?).
Achieving or failing motivates better planning, a bigger or stronger plan, an entirely new and different plan, and sometimes when we're lucky, no plan. In that empty, open space, Something arises naturally and the way is clear.
What is the positive intention or purpose of future planning? What if you lost your ability or power to plan? What's here when all planning disappears? At rest in this precious presence, you can realize what lives you; timeless and free.
This inquiry will gently guide our attention over the coming weeks, offering the extraordinary chance to retreat from the world and rest in what you long for most. All you need is your willingness to be right here, as you are, and tell the truth.
